Temur Ugulava, a businessman, one of the most prominent figures in Georgia’s hospitality industry, and the founder of Rooms Hotels and Adjara Group, has passed away, according to his family. He was 56.
Recently, he had been undergoing medical treatment abroad after being diagnosed with a serious illness.
Temur Ugulava’s name is associated with such well-known projects as Rooms Hotels in Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Kokhta, and Batumi, the Stamba Hotel, Lolita restaurant, Fabrika hostel, the Udabno complex, and other business ventures in Georgia.
Temur Ugulava also owned the gambling company AdjaraBet, which he sold in 2019.
