Georgian truck drivers allowed to stay in Russia for up to 180 days

A decree has entered into force in Russia allowing truck drivers from Georgia and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries to remain in the country for up to 180 days, TASS reports.

To enter Russia and stay for up to 180 days, truck drivers from Georgia and CIS countries must submit an application.

The online application must state the reason for entry and stay in Russia, and include copies of the applicant’s passport and documents confirming their professional activity.

The temporary stay limit for truck drivers from Georgia and CIS countries was extended to 180 days under a decree signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on April 27. The document entered into force on June 30.
