According to the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, the «radical opposition» is in total frustration because it can no longer receive foreign funding. According to him, the Georgian people have turned their backs on the opposition, and now «it is showing its true nature».
The speaker made these remarks in response to a wave of mutual criticism within the ranks of the pro-Western opposition.
«If everyone was bought off, then who actually lost the 2024 elections? Let them explain that to us. A very good process is underway, and we support it. I will say it once again: «a poisonous seed will not bear good fruit», and it is precisely these fruits that we are witnessing today».
Papuashvili urged the public to pay close attention to the opposition that describes itself as «pro-European»: «In their view, what you are witnessing right now is Europe. This filth is the very Europe that these people are offering us».
